Udor takes over the majority of English Hughes Pumps – Global Legal Chronicle
As part of the transaction, the Rubierese company Udor was joined by the firm Avvocatidiimpresa and Gerald Edelman, while the seller was assisted by the firm Coole Bevis LLP.
Udor S.p.A. has acquired 85% of the capital of Hughes Pumps Limited, a leading manufacturer of high pressure pumps.
Founded in 1966, UDOR is a leading manufacturer and distributor of diaphragm pumps and plunger pumps for pumping low, medium and high pressure water.
Based in Rubiera in the province of Reggio Emilia, UDOR exports about 95% of its production to almost 80 countries around the world and has distribution centers in the United States, China, Argentina and Brazil.
Hughes Pumps Ltd. manufactures high and very high pressure pumps and water jetting equipment. The company operates from a purpose-built production facility in West Sussex, UK. Phil Cranford, current CEO of Hughes Pumps Ltd. will continue in his role alongside Udor to fully exploit the synergies of this union.
